What to expect at your consultation
Your first consultation takes between 60-90 minutes and is for me to get to know you;
I will take a detailed history from you, learning important information about your lifestyle, diet, hormones, medical history, any medication you are taking and the problem that brings you to see me.
I will then carry out a thorough examination of your hair and scalp.
I will take some magnified photographs of your hair and scalp using a clinical Dermascope and may need to take small samples of your hair to study under a microscope.

Depending on the condition that is affecting you, it may be necessary to aid diagnosis with a blood test. Analysing levels of key components of your blood work can be important in helping to identify certain trichological conditions.
I will explain the ways in which this can be done either through the NHS or privately through the pharmacy where I host your consultation

Pre and Post Consultation
To help you get the most out of your consultation I will send you a pre-consultation form at the time of booking your appointment and I will ask you for a deposit of 50%
After your consultation I will send you my diagnosis and explain what this means to you.
I will give you my recommendations for your treatment, my advice and what you can do at home to improve your complaint. My recommendations will include what treatment options are open to you,
Depending on your condition, I may recommend a follow up appointment where needed within 6 months so I can check on your progress and treatment.
Following your consultation I can share my diagnosis with your GP or Dermatologist, and referrals can be made back to your GP with suggestions for NHS treatments that are available.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy
When booking a consultation: - I ask for half payment for the consultation at the time of your booking. Should you need to cancel or reschedule I ask that you call me 3 working days before your appointment on 07942 360248.
Failure to give the full notice will result in the payment not being refunded. This allows me to manage my diary and gives a chance to offer the appointment time to another client. Please try to arrive on time for your appointment. If I do need to cancel or postpone your appointment at short notice, I will contact you in advance.
